Forum Review
It’s the grand-daddy of all pool and billiards forums. AZ Billiards is the most popular industry forum (by quite a margin – hundreds of new posts each day) and likely has the most professional looking interface. It utilizes the vBulletin forum software, so advanced search tools are in abundance when you want to find an obscure post among the hundreds of thousands available.
Not surprisingly, AZ billiards is one of the most popular pool websites in general… and the forum is the heart of the site with over 86% of all users using this great resource.
Additional functionality on the forum include a chatroom, image post, and vbookie system (bet on outcomes of upcoming tournaments) – however, you probably won’t use this stuff much given the debt of the content to peruse. Of special note are the huge cue-based categories (5,000 threads and 50,000 posts) and eight categories hosted by different industry professionals (great for asking questions).
The Skinny
AZ Billiards is likely going to be your first stop if you are looking for general information about anything in the pool and billiards world. It’s built for the masses and is an unquestioned leader in this industry.
Selected user comments about the AZ Billiards forum
AZ billiards is without a doubt the best billiards board on the net. I think part of it has to do with the sheer volume of traffic Mike has coming to his site, from both the US and abroad. Also, there are some great posters there, including contributing current professional players as well. - Shorty
