Improving your pool stroke is a never ending process.
Luckily, the web has become an great resource for free instructional videos on how to shoot like the pros. I spent this afternoon reviewing YouTube videos, and put together the following list of great clips. I think that anyone can benefit from a quick refresher in the principles of a good pool stroke - and these videos will definetly provide that.
Dr. Dave’s videos are really helpful for those looking to improve their overall game. I’ve blogged about his videos in the past, and I’m sure I will do it again in the future.
This first video is Dr. Dave discussing the stance, bridge location, and eye and hand placement.
Here Dr. Dave provides advice on properly gripping the cue.
Here is an excellent video by ForceFollow. He has a tonne of great billiards instructional videos on Youtube. This video provides some simple ways to improve your cue grip.
And here are two more EXCELLENT videos by ForceFollow. His advice is very practical and even highlights where your eyes should go during the shot - an area I find particularly troublesome.
And finally- a great video breakdown of a professional’s shot. Efren Reyes provides a slow motion glance at his shot from a number of different angles.
Were these videos valuable?
know of any other good resources from improving your pool stroke?
