Pool and Billiards Blogs - the best that I’ve read
Posted January 14th, 2007Categories: Billiards Blogs
I looked through lots of technorati, google and yahoo results to get a list of blogs that were 1) related in general to the topic of billiards; 2) regularly updated; and 3) linked to from authority sites in the pool/billiards community.
This introductary list below should be appropriate to begin a discussion of the BEST billiards and pool blogs. Please recommend any good blogs I’ve missed in the post comments.
My goal is to pick the ten best pool blogs and complete a review of each similar to what I did for the Guide to Pool and Billiards Forums.
Help me make the final list - vote in the sidebar poll, or leave comments to this post with your choice for best pool and billiards blog! I’ll let the poll run for a couple of weeks (maybe the end of January) before starting on the official guide.
One last note- I’m going to contact all of the owners (where possible) of these blogs and ask them to come by and join the discussion. Hopefully they can provide some info about their blogs that we might not know about.

What?!?? How come I don’t see Billiards Blogger on the list?!??
First, thank you so much for including me on the list. It looks like you’ve really done some extensive research.
Next, I just wanted to mention that I overzealously voted for my won blog before realizing that I couldn’t vote more than once.
So, I’d like to also send shout-outs to Poolshooter and Billiardpulse. Not to exclude any of the other fine blogs listed but these are two that I personally frequent. They’re very up-to-date and well-written.
I look forward to reading more from you & consider yourself linked!
Happy New Year!
samm
p.s. Barenada & Poolshooter links should be “http” vs “www”
Thanks for the kind words - but I’d rather avoid a conflict of interest and just keep the guide referencing other blogs.
Cheers
[…] First, and foremost, I want to mention how honored I am to be mentioned in the following blog postings: My favourite (he’s european) billiard blogs Pool and Billiards Blogs - the best that I’ve read (make sure you vote) Wow! That’s so exciting?!?? […]
Hi there!
Thank you very much for including me to your blog!
Hope that you will get a lot of replies and comments about which ones will be read most…
www.billiardscrossing.com is also good.
Thank you for the opportunity to check out your blog.
Very informative!
…except on one very major topic:
YOU!!
who are you?
where do you live?
are you a player?
what is your game?
Inquiring minds want to know!
All the best,
Fast Mikie

Thanks for listing my blog. I’m just getting started in a series of posts covering issues related to starting a pool hall. It seems that a lot of people are interested in the topic.

Good idea listing and reviewing the pool related blogs. Good luck with your blog.

Hi!
Thanks for including my blog in the list!
Here’s a blog I would like you to consider. It’s by Niels Feijen:

Thanks!

Personally, I like http://barenada.com/pool.shtml alot. Those crucial, eye-opening shots tutorials are so valuable for all. And http://europeanbilliards.blogspot.com also caught my eye and update me with what’s going on in europe.
Not forgetting Shir’s http://shirinthepoolworld.blogspot.com , Hermund’s http://www.billiardpulse.com and Colin’s http://www.cue-tv.com These 3 are my buddies who did a better job than my lousy part-time pool blog stint.
Hermund’s Billiardpulse always work hand-in-hand with my Poolonline. Shir has been great moderator for my pool forum since the beginning and her excellent performance with Ralf Souquet during World Pool Trickshots 2006. And not forgetting my great friend Colin Colenso, who help me out with the tournament events sponsorship advice. Check out Colin’s thunderous break in one of his personal video clips.
Maybe there should be a poll setup for “The lousiest and boring Pool Blog” I’m sure mine will beat everyone hands down. c”,)
Lastly, I wanna thank Billiardsblogger.com to give me this chance to tell everyone this long story. I would vote http://www.billiardsblogger.com “The Best Pool & Billiard Blog” since all other great blogs links are in here. Hope to see this place grow!
World Peace!

Hi
Thanks for incuding my blog here! I am honored just to be in the list - I thought nobody ever visited!
Cheers
Billiards Boutique
Great initiative! I hope your work will help people to find the blogs they’re looking for. There’s a lot of good blogs covering pool and billiards, but there’s also a lot of blogs with fancy names and almost no interesting information.
I think you’ve found some really good blogs for your survey. Personally I like Ardalens billiardpulse.blogspot.com. He covers billiards from all over the world and is always updated.
I’m focusing on Europe and european billiards(europeanbilliards.blogspot.com) and try to keep my blog as updated as I can. I hope you like it!
Regards Torvald
Thanks for including my blog in the poll. It’s great to know the my blog is being considered together with very interesting and informative billiard blogs.
We have a great list here.
I hope we can establish a strong community of billiard fans and enthusiasts via this effort.
I’d like to get to know everyone better, specially the owner of billiardsblogger.
Please visit: http://philippinebilliards.blogspot.com for the latest in Philippine billiards.
Thanks again!
